UK Base for Ericom Software's European Activity

London, England, May 18, 2000 -- Ericom Software Inc., renowned for its PowerTerm™ series of emulators and a leading provider of connectivity solutions for access to host systems, enterprise networks and the Internet, is announcing the opening of its UK office at this year's Networks 2000.

Founded in Israel, in less than 6 years, Ericom has grown to become a $15million turnover company that recently floated on the Israeli Stock Exchange. Ericom's technically advanced connectivity products cater to the communication needs of leading corporations and institutions, serving more than 2.5 million users in 45 countries worldwide. Its PowerTerm Pro product suite is designed for premium performance and efficiency through a technically robust specification and a unique footprint that is 90% smaller than competing products, which in turn offers up to 50% cost savings.

The UK team will be headed by Ian Platt, who brings with him a wealth of experience having formerly been the Commercial and Marketing Director for System Software.

Commenting on his appointment, Ian said: "The UK and Ireland represent a major market in the European arena. From our headquarters in the Droitwich, Worcestershire, we are looking to achieve 100% growth year-on-year for the next three years. To do this, we will be further developing our relationships with existing channel partners and penetrating new market opportunities. We will be utilizing our core product range, PowerTerm, and promoting new developments in web-to-host products to drive this growth."

"To achieve this, it was vital to establish a base within the UK and we are already seeing the benefits of this having recently signed deals with the Carphone Warehouse, Vodafone Paging and Aer Rianta."
