    Attribute - Colors based on the attributes. For example, you can select different colors for bold, for underline, and for bold/underline.

    ANSI - Colors based on host-defined colors. For example, the host sends "red foreground on blue background" but you can select the default ANSI color. Different attributes do not affect colors.

    Attribute & ANSI - Uses both Attribute and ANSI colors as explained above.

    Default - Uses the default color type for each emulation type:
    VT and Siemens = Attribute & ANSI colors
    ANSI and HP = ANSI colors
    All others = Attributes colors (Not affected by setting to a different value.)

  1. The multilingual keyboard mapping dialog:

    Shows the correct characters for each language, in all cases including Shift, Alt, Ctrl, and Caps Lock. It also shows right-Alt or AltGr, as needed.

    Shows Dead-keys (keys that has a meaning only with other keys such as ^).

    Solves the problem of mapping to keys like Z and Y for Czech or Q and A for French (previously, you had to map both).

  2. ASSOCIATE for TN3270 printer in Communication | Connect

    A new checkbox, "Associate" implements the TN3270E ASSOCIATE command, when checked.The requested LU is the LU of the associated DISPLAY session. That is, the MF will return the printer LU that is associated to that display (by the MF administrator).

  3. Send CODEPAGE in TN5250 to use code page other than the system default.

  4. Limit Font Size in Terminal Setup | Display Properties | Dimensions

    Allows PowerTerm fonts to use only the exact font size, specially for frames. Not recommended for normal text on large screens.

  5. ANSI 8 color mode in Terminal Setup | Color Properties

    For ANSI emulations only. In the old ANIS behavior, foreground text is always bold (bright) and the background never bold. Now, when the ANSI 8 color mode is enabled, the bold attribute has no meaning.

  6. Color Frame in Terminal Setup | Color Properties

    The frame color is selected by the frame-color item in the dialog box instead of using the normal background color.

  7. New Key maps

    For 5250 emulations only.

    normal return = Field Exit
    normal right alt = Enter
    shift return = new-line
    ctrl return = Enter
    ctrl numpad - = Enter
    ctrl numpad + = Enter

Release Notes Version 6.6.1 (April 2003)

  1. The frame color can be changed in non-IBM emulations. Has been explicitly tested on Red Hat 9.
  2. Bypass Os print filter. With this setting 'On', the OS print filtering will be by passed. This is recommended when problems with escape codes for slave printing occurs. The setting is located in Terminal | Setup | Printer.
    Default: Off.

Release Notes Version 6.5.3 (December 2002)

  1. Cascading windows are supported in that all terminal session windows are displayed in a progressive order so that all the title bars appear on screen at one time.
  2. Limit of 10 sessions.
  3. Non-English keyboard support.

Release Notes Version 6.5.2 (November 2002)

  1. Supports all Linux distributions that are compliant with Linux Standard Base (LSB). Has been explicitly tested on Red Hat 7.3, Red Hat 8.0, Mandrake 9.0, SuSe 8.0, and SuSe 8.1.
  2. An option was added to enable Telnet to start in Binary mode instead of in ASCII mode.
  3. GUI can be displayed in English, French, Spanish, German, or Italian. However, PowerTerm emulation supports all the European languages.
  4. Printer Name is saved in the setup file.
  5. Support for Host Print Transform and Advanced Printer properties.
  6. Support for proportional fonts in 5250 and 3270. Note: Some screens of 5250 and 3270 applications, may not display them well.
  7. "Set Window Size" in the Connect dialog box is now available for Telnet. It notifies the Host that the terminal emulator changed its size.
  8. Now supports the following security protocols SSH (SSH2 and SSH1) and SSL (with SSL2, SSL3 and TLS1).
