SHARE:

Twenty three days before its official launch party, Microsoft has announced that Windows Server 2008 has been Released to Manufacturing (RTM). This is undoubtedly a huge achievement for Microsoft and one of the largest software projects ever, involving 5,000 people over a three year period. The Windows Server development team is, understandably, very happy and we at Ericom wish to congratulate them and look forward to continue working with Microsoft in order to embrace and extend this exciting new platform.

Coincidentally Microsoft has also RTMed Windows Vista SP1, and will begin distributing Vista SP1 via Windows Update in mid-March.
