Jerusalem, Israel, January 11, 1999 -- Ericom® Software, a leading developer of enterprise-wide corporate software solutions for access to information residing on host systems, today announced that it is expanding into the broader realm of corporate connectivity and management software. Since its inception in 1993, Ericom has been a leading force in the global host access market, with its popular PowerTerm® line of cross-platform terminal emulation solutions. The company will continue expanding its line of proprietary host-connectivity products while focusing on the fast-growing Internet, security, and management software arena throughout the course of 1999.

Among the new products slated for release in 1999 are: PowerTerm Pro, a terminal emulation product for seamless integration with Windows 2000 interface, during the first Quarter; a Virtual Private Network (VPN) solution for secure host access, during the second Quarter; and a license management product, both for software metering and management for the enterprise network, scheduled for release in the third Quarter.
Ericom's VPN solution will also be available as a stand alone product for the network security market. Most recently, Ericom introduced the PowerTerm CE operating on Windows CE Platform for remote access to mission critical legacy applications.
