UK Base for Ericom Software's European Activity
London, England, May 18, 2000 -- Ericom Software Inc., renowned for its PowerTerm™ series of emulators and a
leading provider of connectivity solutions for access to host systems,
enterprise networks and the Internet, is announcing the opening of its UK office
at this year's Networks 2000.
Founded in Israel, in less than 6
years, Ericom has grown to become a $15million turnover company that recently
floated on the Israeli Stock Exchange. Ericom's technically advanced
connectivity products cater to the communication needs of leading corporations
and institutions, serving more than 2.5 million users in 45 countries worldwide.
Its PowerTerm Pro product suite is designed for premium performance and
efficiency through a technically robust specification and a unique footprint
that is 90% smaller than competing products, which in turn offers up to 50%
The UK team will be headed by Ian
Platt, who brings with him a wealth of experience having formerly been the
Commercial and Marketing Director for System Software.
Commenting on his appointment, Ian
said: "The UK and Ireland represent a major market in the European arena. From
our headquarters in the Droitwich, Worcestershire, we are looking to achieve
100% growth year-on-year for the next three years. To do this, we will be
further developing our relationships with existing channel partners and
penetrating new market opportunities. We will be utilizing our core product
range, PowerTerm, and promoting new developments in web-to-host products to
drive this growth."
