Ericom Expands EAI Software With Support for BEA WebLogic Platform

Closter, NJ (February 25, 2002) - Ericom® Software, Inc., a leading provider of enterprise connectivity and e-Business solutions, today announced at BEA eWorld 2002 that its PowerTerm® Host Publisher software now supports the BEA WebLogic Server™. The combination of PowerTerm Host Publisher and BEA WebLogic enables organizations to leverage back-end legacy systems, and rapidly develop a range of Java applications to drive e-Business technology initiatives.

PowerTerm Host Publisher seamlessly integrates corporate data and applications to the Web while minimizing costs, implementation times and business risks. With PowerTerm Host Publisher, companies can repurpose legacy systems into services that can be accessed via Java, as well as SOAP/XML, COM/DCOM and other key Internet and enterprise technologies - with ZERO changes to existing host resources.

Now, developers can utilize BEA WebLogic's component-based system to easily design Java-based Web applications, with complete access to legacy systems through PowerTerm Host Publisher. PowerTerm Host Publisher's Java Wrapper allows developers to access business logic and applications on legacy systems, making host data transparently available to users on the front-end.

"With the combined power of PowerTerm Host Publisher and the BEA WebLogic Server, our customers can extend their legacy applications to the Web and wireless world faster than ever before," said Eric Fernwood, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Ericom Software, Inc. "This is a critical part of providing organizations with a fast, simple way to preserve existing systems, while developing Internet applications for e-Business."
