Service and Support

For help with Ericom Product Activations, Reactivations and Demo Extensions, please select from the following:

1. Where can I find the Initial License Key?

PowerTerm WebConnect   [Ericom Blaze  |  PowerTerm Series Terminal Emulation products]

The Initial License Key (aka 'Key to send to Ericom') can be found in the PowerTerm WebConnect Server License Update dialog.

  1. Select Start -> All Programs -> Ericom Software -> PowerTerm WebConnect 5.X -> PowerTerm Server License Update.
  2. The number appearing in the 'Key to Send to Ericom' field below is your Initial License Key.

Submitting online request to extend demo:

  1. Click the Envelope icon.

    IMPORTANT NOTE: To activate an Ericom product that has already been purchased, type in your Serial Number before clicking the envelope icon.



  2. Paste the Key you receive from Ericom into the 'Key received from Ericom' field.
  3. Click the 'Activate Key' button.

Ericom Blaze

Finding your Initial License Key:

  1. Go to: Start -> All Programs -> Ericom Software -> Ericom Access Server -> Ericom Access Server Configuration -> Licensing tab.

  2. Once you reach the Licensing tab, an initial license key (also called a 'Key to Send to Ericom') will be automatically generated.

Extending the Demo:

  1. Press the 'Email key to Ericom' button.
  2. Paste the Key that Ericom sends you into the 'Key received from Ericom' field.

  3. Press the 'Activate Ericom Blaze' button.
  4. Restart the Ericom Blaze Service:
    On the Ericom Access Server Configuration screen, go the Service tab and press the restart button

Terminal Emulation Products (Initial License Key)

Instructions for finding your Initial License Key and:

  • If the Extend License dialog box screen does not appear on your expired Demo, or
  • Your Demo has not expired

  1. Go to the Extend License dialog: Start -> All Programs -> Ericom Software -> PowerTerm InterConnect -> Help -> About PowerTerm. The About dialog box

  2. Click on the Extend License button and the Extend License screen dialog appears where you can obtain your Initial License Key.

  3. On the Extend License screen, press 'Send e-mail'
  4. Once the Evaluation extension is approved, paste the Key sends you into the 'Received from Ericom Software' field.
  5. Press the 'Activate Product Online'

2. Where can I find the Product Code? 

Answer: The bottom of the Extend License Screen lists two numbers separated by a comma within parentheses. For e.g. Product (1,1) is the Product Code.

3. Where can I find the Extend License option?

Answer: By following the instructions for Finding your Initial License Key you will see the Extend License / Activate button.

4. How do I find the Version Number of my PowerTerm product? 

Answer: The Version Number of your PowerTerm product can be found by opening your PowerTerm software and going to: 

  • Help -> About PowerTerm

Selecting this menu item will show us the About dialog box. Please click on the "Extend License" button on the following About dialog box:

5. How do I find my Serial Number?

Answer: Your SERIAL NUMBER can be found by opening up your PowerTerm Software and going to:

  • Help -> About PowerTerm

Your Serial Number can also be found on your: 

  • PowerTerm CD sleeve
  • License Agreement 
  • Email receipt
